Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television personality in the United States and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and pumped-up personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals straightforward, simple techniques to master for the at-home cook on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the most prestigious restaurants located in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Early on, while living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went to earn an English degree as well as a communications diploma in Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic adventure. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. The chef gained an understanding of Italian culture and cuisine during her stay in Italy, which has influenced her style of cooking. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. She also is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate in which she promotes awareness of juvenile diabetics. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours the country in her mentorship job. Anne in all her culinary journey has stated that it's an honor to be able to be able to share this love of life with others.
