Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes with the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out in the form of an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in the year 2011, and the 2015 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia has started her professional career in 2003, won in 2012 and 2016, the International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following in the second round TKO. The following two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa in a unanimous decision and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She quit the club in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina made use of her formidable strike abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko received an UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC at her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina returned to the ring after her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
