Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinct blend of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to the Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by singing and playing the piano in the church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as the primary keyboardist in his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
